Look at any ecosystem and there could be multiple forms of contamination—streams full of toxic chemicals from industrial processes, rivers overloaded with nutrients from farms or factories, rubbish carelessly discarded or blowing away from landfills, city skies covered in smog. Even landscapes and seas that appear pristine can experience the effects of pollution sources located hundreds or thousands of miles away.
Pollution may muddy landscapes, poison soils, and waterways, or kill plants and animals (including humans).
If you tune into Nature your instincts will tell you that we must return to a way of life where we love and respect the Earth, each other, and all other sentient beings. We must return to living as Nature intended.
The #Do5Things pledge is about doing five things regularly that will heal you and the Earth.
Vowing to do a set number of things daily helps us to channel our energy without becoming overwhelmed.
It's about living as Nature intended.
Why a handprint? Hands are associated with helping and support, whereas feet (as in carbon footprints) are associated with walking all over something. When we join hands and help each other our burden lightens.
Social healing and ecological healing are the same work. The healing of individuals, society, and the world go hand in hand. The purpose of humanity is to contribute our gifts to the beauty, aliveness, and evolution of Earth.
#Do5Things to heal You and the Earth.
